I gave an old pair of boots new life by painting them. This may sound silly, but I didn't even realize they had birds on them until I started painting. ...the power of observation! I wore 'em ragged before I painted them. Now and then, I'll still throw them on for fun.

I painted these for my son with specific requests. Flames. Cactus. Owl. Lizard. I added stars to the front! I think by the time I was done with them his feet had grown and never wore them. That's alright though, I just sent them down the line, next son, next son....
